A fire which destroyed one car and damaged another was started deliberately, police believe.
They've now launched a witness appeal.
Firefighters were called to Princess Road, Bridport, just after 7am on New Year's Day.
They found a car alight and used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire and requested police attend.
A second vehicle also suffered damage from the fire.
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and no arrests have been made at this stage.
Police Constable Alison Gale, of Dorset Police, said: “It is believed that the fire was started deliberately and we are continuing to investigate this incident.
“I am appealing to anyone with information or who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area at the relevant time to please contact police.”
Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to call 101, quoting crime number 55200000162.
