A coastguard team were scrambled in a night-time emergency over fears for two paddle boarders in the sea.
Lyme Regis Coastguard Rescue Team was alerted about 9.20pm on Friday following "concerns for two paddle boarders who had been seen to enter the water but not exit".
The team were stood down when they got to the coastguard station to get their kit as the persons concerned were found safe and well.
Coastguards say members of the public should always report concerns.
A spokesman said: "Stay safe along the coast, but if you find yourself in difficulty or see something which gives you cause for concern, do not hesitate to dial 999 and ask for the coastguard."
