EACH year, the Melplash Agricultural Society offers grants to students aged 17 years and above who are planning to pursue courses in subjects connected to agriculture. This year the total fund awarded is £21,000.

This year’s bursary was awarded to:

Lily Collier who is studying Veterinary at University of Liverpool

  • Hannah Bowden who is going to Bristol University to study Plant Sciences
  • Aaron Hughes who will be starting a one year apprenticeship and studying at Kingston Maurward College
  • Ben Churchill will be starting a two-year apprenticeship and studying at Bicton College
  • Jay Huxter who will be starting a one-year apprenticeship and studying at Kingston Maurward College
  • Ellis Blackburn who will be attending Bristol University to study veterinary science
  • Frederick Ransford who will be attending Harper Adams University to study Off Highway Engineering
  • Emily Dear who will be starting a one-year apprenticeship and studying at Kingston Maurward College
  • Corben Newman who will be starting a one-year apprenticeship and studying at Kingston Maurward College
