TWO people have been taken to hospital after an elderly driver crashed into a home in Lyme Regis.
Emergency services, including the police, ambulance and fire brigade, were called to Silver Street just before 12.30pm today (Wednesday).
It is not yet known the severity of the injuries.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "A vehicle had left the road and gone into a neighbour's property and front door and is blocking the road.
"The ambulance service was called, as well as the fire service as fuel has spilled onto the road.
"The elderly driver is being assessed by ambulance staff and the fire service has requested a structural engineer to come out and assess the property."
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they were called at 12.35pm.
A spokesperson said: "A vehicle had come down the hill in Silver Street, through a wall and into the the front door of a property.
"Crews from Lyme Regis and Charmouth attended.
"There were no people trapped in the vehicle and the fire service has contacted building control to assess the damage."
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service said two people were taken to hospital.
