CARNIVAL CUP winners collected their prizes on Sunday, September 16, at a special presentation ceremony.
Included among them were overall winners, the Boulay and Clewlow families, who also won best walking entry and best youth entry for their creation, the Wizard of Oz. Their prize money will go to St Swithin's Pre-School.
Groves Nurseries Social Club picked up the prizes for best decorated trade vehicle and best entry from a pub, club or organisation.
Crazy Horses from Kilmington won the best costumes cup while the best entry from a school was uncontested with Mountjoy picking up trophy for the third year running.
Best walking entry (non-wheeled) went to the Hardy family of Bridport, while the winner of the sponsor's favourite award was the Snowflake Princesses from Ilminster.
The Mayor's Choice award went to West Babe Watch from Bridport Round Table.
DT6 Carnival Club took home the cups for best entry from Bridport and best float. Encore Theatre Club was among the runners-up to receive cheques for their entry Beside the Seaside.
