CHILDREN are preparing to take the stage alongside top opera singers.
Pupils from schools in Weymouth, Portland and Bridport are warming up their vocal cords ahead of their opera debut in Abbotsbury.
They will be joining London's Garden Opera Company to sing and act in Puccini's La Boheme.
Students from Budmouth and Royal Manor have been working with younger pupils from St Mary's Primary and Bridport Primary to perfect their performance.
Budmouth music teacher Julie Harris said: "It's a fantastic opportunity for the children to get a taste of opera - a genre they otherwise might not come across in this area."
The children will take the stage at the Abbey House Hotel Gardens, in Church Street, Abbotsbury, on Thursday to sing in a Christmas market sellers' scene.
Tickets from £14 for adults are available on 01305 871475.
