EVENTS across Dorset this autumn will bring some of the world's best entertainers to the county.
However at the West Bay event they will be joined by the best in young local talent.
Youth Page spoke to Gjenya Cambray from Bridport Arts Centre to get the low down on Counter Currents.
Speaking about the event and the involvement of young people Gjenya said: "Counter Currents will see West Bay transformed for the day with street performances by international dance and theatre companies as part of the Inside Out Festival.
"There will be a stage especially for local young bands managed by Bridport Youth Centre, and in the summer there will be the unique opportunity for young people to work with professional dance company Upswing at the arts centre creating a piece of dance to perform at West Bay."
The arts centre has a great track record supporting projects from the youth centre.
Gjenya said: "They also have a great track record of supporting arts projects, and you can achieve so much more working in partnership with supportive people.
"The arts are a great way for young people to have a go at something new, express themselves, build confidence, learn new skills from professional artists... but most importantly it's great fun."
The future is looking busy at the arts centre. As well as the Hip Hop Night tonight, there will be another poetry slam in November as a direct result of the Dreadlock Alien visit last year.
