Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance was delighted to be presented with a donation of £38,000 by the Blackmore and Sparkford Vale, Portman and South Dorset hunts earlier this month.
Host and leader of the organising committee John Sunnucks had come up with the idea as he lay in his hospital bed recovering from a hunting fall, which required two trips in the air ambulance.
Mr Sunnucks said: “All who hunt in Dorset and Somerset are grateful for the service the air ambulance provides. It has saved many lives and will save many more.”
