Police in Bridport are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after number plates were stolen from two parked vehicles in the town.
Both incidents occurred some time between 9pm on Saturday August 10 and 11.30pm on Sunday August 11 along Victoria Grove and Pymore Road.
In each case, the vehicles were parked in the driveways of properties when the thefts took place.
Police Constable Neil Gauden, of Bridport police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed these thefts or may have information about those involved to get in contact.
“These thefts have caused great inconvenience to the owners of the cars, and will be costly to replace.
“These two incidents happened late at night but it is possible somebody may have seen some suspicious behaviour in the area.
“Anyone with information is urged to call Dorset Police in confidence on 101.”
