DOWNEY Veronica It is with great sadness the family announces that Veronica Downey, age 83, died peacefully in her sleep on 14th September 2023 after a long illness. Beloved wife of the late Charles Ziegler and second husband Harry Downey. Much loved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Avid community supporter and respected fundraiser for Uparu, a charity working to improve medical services in rural Tanzania. Funeral to be held at St John's Catholic Church, Beaminster on Wednesday 27th September at 11.00am with refreshments at Beaminster Public Hall in the Skyrm Room. Private family burial.
