SMITH Edward John (Ted) Late of Beaminster, died peacefully on the 8th June 2020. Dearly loved husband of Jean and much loved father of Peter, Carolyn and Stephen; father-in-law, grandfather and great grandfather. Will always be missed but never forgotten. Ted served with and was a member of the Honourable Artillery Company, School Teacher, Lecturer and county gardener; he achieved many great things but never forgot his roots which included lifelong support of Hull City FC, Hull Kingston Rovers and Yorkshire CC. Private family burial at Higher Ground Meadow, Corscombe on 23 June 2020. Donations to the Children's Society may be sent c/o A J Wakely & Sons, 7 North Street, Beaminster, DT8 3DZ.
