Adaptations of movies both old and new will feature at this year's Bridport film festival, From Page to Screen, taking place from April 15 to April 19 this year.
Featuring in the line-up will be Joker, an award-winning film leading the race to the 2020 BAFTAs and Oscars with 11 nominations in each.
Joaquin Phoenix, who plays the title role, also picked up the Golden Globe for Best Actor earlier this year.
Edith Bowman, DJ, broadcaster, and guest curator of From Page to Screen, commented: "I'm especially excited at the prospect of presenting films from all eras and giving audiences another chance to see amazing cinema at its big screen best. I can't wait to see Joker again; it's definitely one of my films of the year and will be fascinating to view alongside timeless classics and rare early twentieth century gems."
The UK's only festival celebrating the adaptation of books to film, From Page to Screen is produced by Bridport Arts Centre in collaboration with the Electric Palace and other Bridport venues. More information is available at www.frompagetoscreen.info
