DORSET'S Poundbury and other developments will be discussed at a Building Britain talk.
The illustrated talk at Bridport LSi on Thursday, September 5 will be given by leading architectural and interior designer Ben Pentreath.
Ben will talk about his work and the issues facing modern day housing developers.
In addition to his work on private houses and interiors, Ben's practice is designing a large number of housing developments ranging from The Duchy of Cornwall's Poundbury, to a complete new town, Tornagrain, in the Highlands of Scotland. In this talk, Ben will look at some of the challenges facing our planners and the countryside as the government pushes for ever greater housing delivery numbers, and asks whether we can ever create places as beautiful and thriving as his local town of Bridport?
