Dorset County Council proposes to make an Amendment Order to ‘The County of Dorset (Various Roads in the District of West Dorset) (Consolidation of Orders Made for the Regulation of
Traffic) Order 2009’ under various sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’) and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in
accordance with statutory requirement and in compliance with The Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996:-
The effect of the Order will be to introduce on-street parking for cars, motorcycles and invalid carriages only in Station Road,West Bay. No camping, cooking, selling or overnight sleeping.
Relevant exemptions will apply where appropriate and as necessary in accordance with the provisions of the Order.
Full details of this proposal are contained in the Draft Order which, together with a plan showing the length of road affected and a statement of the County Council’s reasons for proposing to make
the Order, may be inspected from Monday to Friday during normal office hours at:-

Bridport.

Temporary Closure of Footpath No2, Lyme Regis
and No13, Charmouth
DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.All foot passengers
will be prohibited from proceeding along Footpath No.2, Lyme Regis and Footpath No13, Charmouth, from grid reference SY 3430 9214 to grid reference SY 3643 9301, a distance of approximately 2550
metres.The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on the 31 January 2012 for a
period of 52 weeks. But it will remain in force for 12 months and can be extended, with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary.
This is an extension to an existing order that will end on the 30 January 2012 and this continuation order is required in the interests of public safety due to cliff falls.
