Temporary closure of B3162 Between Four Ashes & Broadwindsor
DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along the B3162 between Four Ashes and Broadwindsor, a distance of approximately 2,500 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on Monday 7 November for a period of 5 days between 09.00 hrs and 16.30 hrs each day, again on Monday 14 November 2011 fro a period of 5 days between 09.00 hrs and 16.30 hrs each day and again on Monday 21 November 2011 between 09.00 hrs to 16.30 hrs each day, a total of 15 days.The road will be open over the weekends. But it will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended, with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary.
This Order will enable the Dorset County Council carriageway resurfacing works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE
The alternative, which will be sign posted is as follows; from the northern end of the closure in Broadwindsor.Turn right onto the B3163 and continue eastward into Beaminster.At the junction with the B3066 turn right and proceed through Beaminster southward along the B3066 to East Road roundabout in Bridport.Take the third exit off the roundabout and continue westward along East Street and West Street to the mini roundabout.Take the second exit off the mini roundabout and proceed northward along the B3162 North Allington out of Bridport through Salwayash to Four Ashes and the southern end of the closure.The reverse route applies.

The County of Dorset (The Village of Mosterton)
(30mph Speed Limit) (No. 4) Order 2011
Dorset County Council has made an Order under Sections 84(1) and (2) and 124(1) (d) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
When the Order comes into operation on 4 November 2011 the effect will be to consolidate all previous speed limit orders into one 30mph speed limit order for the village of Mosterton.There will be no changes to the terminal points of the existing 30mph speed limit.There will however be a new stretch of 30mph on Mosterton Down Lane starting at its junction with A3066 for a distance of 91 metres.
A copy of the Order together with a plan showing the lengths of roads affected may be inspected from Monday to Friday during normal office hours at:-

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order you may within six weeks of the date of this Notice apply to the High Court for that purpose.
