Temporary Closure Of Various Roads Lyme Regis

Temporary Closure Of Various Roads Lyme Regis

DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along [a] Hill Road [b] Coombe Street and [c] Monmouth Street, Lyme Regis for approximately [a] 180 metres, [b] 100 metres and [c] 60 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation as follows, [a] 2 November 2011 for 2 days, [b] 10 November 2011 for 3 days and [c] 11 November 2011 for 6 days. But it will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended, with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary.

This Order will allow South West Water to carry out sewer repair works.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES;

The alternative routes, which will be sign posted, is as follows;
[a] Hill Road, from western end of the closure proceed westward to the junction with Silver Street. Turn left and continue south-westward along Silver Street, Broad Street and Bridge Street and north-east ward along Church Street to the junction with Monmouth Street.Turn left into Monmouth Street and proceed westward along Monmouth Street to the junction with Coombe Street.Turn right and continue north-westward along Coombe Street to the junction with Mill Green and the eastern end of the closure.The reverse route applies.
[b] Coombe Street, from northern end of the closure at the junction with Monmouth Street proceed north-westward along Coombe Street and westward along Hill Road to the junction with Silver Street. Turn left and continue south-westward along Silver Street, Broad Street and Bridge Street to the junction with Coombe Street and the southern end of the closure.
[c] Monmouth Street, from the western end of the closure at the junction with Coombe Street proceed north-westward along Coombe Street and westward along Hill Road to the junction with Silver Street.Turn left and continue south-westward along Silver Street, Broad Street and Bridge Street and north-east ward along Church Street to the junction with Monmouth Street and the eastern end of the closure.The reverse route applies.

Temporary Closure Of Berne Lane Whitchurch Canonicorum

DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Berne Lane,Whitchurch Canonicorum north of Berne Manor Farm for a distance of approximately 100 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation 31 October 2011 for a period of 4 weeks. But it will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended, with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary.

This Order will enable Dorset County Council to carry out repairs to an existing culvert under the carriageway.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE;

The alternative route, which will be sign posted, is as follows; from the northern end of the closure proceed northward along Berne Lane to Whitchurch Cross.Turn right and continue southward along Tizard’s Knap to the junction with the A35 Trunk Road.Turn right and proceed westward along the A35 Trunk Road to the junction with Berne Lane.Turn right and proceed north-eastward along Berne Lane to Berne Manor Farm and the southern of the closure.The reverse route applies. Temporary Closure Of Woodmead Road Lyme Regis

DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Woodmead Road, Lyme Regis outside Springfield a distance of approximately 30 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on the 31 October 2011 for a period of 3 weeks. But it will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended, with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary. This Order will allow works to be carried out using scaffolding.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE;

The alternative route, which will be sign posted, is as follows; from the western end of the closure at the junction with Silver Street proceed southward along Silver Street to the junction with Hill Road.Turn left into Hill Road and continue eastward to the junction withView Road.Turn left intoView Road and proceed northward along Hill Road to the junction with WoodMead Road.Turn left and continue westward along Woodmead Road to Springfield and the Eastern end of the closure.The reverse route applies. Temporary Closure Of Various Road Thorncombe

DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the RoadTraffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along [a] Easthay Lane for a distance of approximately 1,000 metres and [b] Sadborow Lane,a distance of approximately 1,000 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation [a]Tuesday 25 October 2011 for a period of 2 day between 09.00hrs and 16.30hrs each day. [b]Thursday 27 October for 2 days between 09.00hrs to 16.30hrs each day and again from the Monday 31 October for 5 days between 09.00hrs to 16.30hrs each day and again from the Monday 7 November 2011 for 2 days between 09.00hrs to 16.30hrs each day, a total of 11 days. But it will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended, with the approval of the Secretary of State forTransport, if necessary. This Order will enable Dorset County Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing works.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES;

[A] Easthay Lane.The alternative route, which will be sign posted, is as follows; from the southern end of the closure at the County Boundary proceed south-westward along Blackwater Lane to Westhay Cross.Turn left and continue south-eastward along Berry Lane to the junction with Mill Lane.Turn left and proceed eastward along Mill Lane and Northhay Lane to the junction with Sadborow Lane.Turn left and continue northward along Sadborow Lane to Sadborow Pound.Turn left and proceed north-westward to Thorncombe Thorn.Turn left and continue south-westward to Shearing Cross and the junction with Easthay Lane.Turn left proceed southward along Easthay Lane to the northern end of the closure.The reverse route applies.Access may be available by agreement with the site agent. [b] Sadborow Lane.The alternative route, which will be sign posted, is as follows; from the northern end of the closure near Vembury Farm proceed northward along Sadborow Lane to Sadborow Pound. Turn left and continue north-westward to Thorncombe Thorn.Turn left and proceed south-westward to Shearing Cross and the junction with Easthay Lane.Turn left continue southward along Easthay Lane and south-westward along Blackwater Lane to Westhay Cross.Turn left and continue southeastward along Berry Lane to the junction with Mill Lane.Turn left and proceed eastward along Mill Lane and Northhay Lane to the junction with Sadborow Lane.Turn left and continue northward along Sadborow Lane to the County Boundary and the northern end of the closure.The reverse route applies.Access may be available by agreement with the site agent. Please note only one closure will be in operation at any one time.
