Public Bridleway 43, Marshwood

DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the RoadTraffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All foot passengers, horse riders and cyclists will be prohibited from proceeding along the bridge on bridleway 43 Marshwood at grid reference SY 3880 9733. The Order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on the 26 August 2011 for a period of 6 months. It will remain in force for 26 weeks and can be extended, with the approval of the Secretary of State forTransport, if necessary. This Order is required to allow Dorset County Council to replace the current bridge which is in an unsafe condition.
