AMATEUR boxing returns to the Bridport area in November with the renewal of a hugely popular fight night.
Bridport Boxing Club is back with its annual card under the lights at Freshwater Beach Holiday Park on Saturday, November 26.
Boxers from as far afield as Newquay, Bristol-based Downend, Southampton’s Golden Ring and Devonport are among the invites.
Dorset clubs such as Weymouth, Portland, Grey Ranks, Bournemouth, Parkstone and Christchurch are also expected to compete.

Event organiser and Bridport coach Alan Slaney is planning for a card of up to 18 bouts.
Among the fighters involved will be Bridport stars Blake Davies, Will Scovell and Junior Attinger.
Speaking to the Bridport News, Slaney said: “We’ve got some promising boys and girls.
“We’ve got some top-class teams coming down, like we always do, so we expect a really good night of boxing.”
Tickets are priced at £20 per person or £200 for a table of ten on a first come, first served basis.
Boxing fans are advised to grab their tickets quickly as only five tables remain available. Contact Mr Slaney on 01308 425108 for details.
Slaney will tomorrow and Saturday be collecting sponsorship money.
