A large fire broke out near Bridport this afternoon.
Emergency services rushed to Shipton Road, Shipton Gorge, at 3.39pm after a combine harvester caught fire.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service sent two fire engines and a water carrier from Bridport to the scene, as well as a small 4x4 appliance from Beaminster and another from Crewkerne.
According to a fire service spokesman, the fire spread to the surrounding cut and standing crops, approx. 600 square metres.
Firefighters used four hose reel jets and a main jet to tackle the blaze – the stop came at 5.22pm.
